1. Hot and Sunny Weather

Increased sunlight leads to higher chlorine breakdown, which can result in algae growth and bacteria buildup. To counteract this, monitor chlorine levels more frequently and use stabilizers to slow chlorine degradation. Running the pool pump during the hottest parts of the day also ensures proper circulation and prevents stagnation. Covering the pool when not in use can also reduce evaporation and chlorine loss.
